Jen Sturtz loves materials, especially those from nature: wood, wool, rust, and paper. She received a BFA in sculpture from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and has been making sculpture ever since. She currently lives, works, and creates in New York City with her husband.

“I’m inspired and intrigued by nature, light, tactility, and social behavior. I try to compel the viewer to touch,  look through, and walk around the work.  My sculpture has been an ongoing exploration of seeing the light within and finding my center through making.”
